This Curson Avenue new build had everything on paper: a great layout, beautiful natural light, and a sought-after neighborhood. But once our client moved in, it quickly became clear the house had been built fast and cheap. The finishes felt thin, and there was nothing in it that felt like her.

So we started behind the walls. Electrical was brought up to code, recalled piping was replaced, and builder-grade materials gave way to ones worthy of the home and the neighborhood. Then came the fun part: giving a house with no history a story of its own. Drawing on her [heritage] and her love of feminine, romantic details, we layered in gorgeous marble, vintage Murano glass fixtures, custom cabinetry with unexpected details, and hand-painted chinoiserie accents. Soft, saturated color in the primary suite and pieces with real provenance give the new house the sense of history it was missing. We are working on this project in phases and will be tackling the builder grade kitchen to give in a personal touch in 2027.

A new build doesn't have to feel new. With the right materials and a clear point of view, it can feel collected, personal, and as if it has been loved for years.
